Matt Turner and Colin Mancuso each notched one goal and one assist whereas Greg Symes and Nick Maslowski scored once. Kody Bortle and Elliott Wescott capped off the scoring by notching an assist.

Goaltender Blake Goldberg stopped 12 of the 14 shots he faced while improving to 2-2-0 in his fourth appearance of the season.

Patrick Rohr, who leads all Brighton/HFL/Eastridge/Gananda players this season in goals (7) and points (10), and Robert Jank each logged a goal in the defeat. Brayden Nodar and Ty Grossman produced an assist. Captain Dominic Mariano was named the Player of the Game.

Jackson Tschiderer (0-2-0) and Matt Dyer both handed the goaltending duties with Tschiderer drawing the starting nod. The duo, who entered the game with just seven combined appearances this season, made 33 saves.

Immediately after the opening draw, Parker opened the scoring just 23 seconds into the game as he was setup by Mancuso and Stewart.

Six minutes later, the Bruins nearly evened the score while killing a hooking infraction, but Goldberg turned aside the shorthanded chance. As the penalty was almost expired, Stewart upped the Spartan’s lead as he and Wescott connected with 7:36 left in the frame.

Along with dominating the shot-clock as evident by a 25-3 margin, the Spartans took a 2-0 lead into the break.

The Spartans made it a three-goal game on Parker’s second goal at the 4:45 mark with the lone assist going to Flannery.

While the shooting onslaught continued, Tschiderer kept the Bruins in the game before the Bruins cut into the deficit on Rohr’s unassisted power-play marker in the final 30 seconds of the middle stanza.
