COMMUNITY RELATIONS

The Rochester Americans are proud to be active members of the Greater Rochester Area and surrounding Western New York communities. The Amerks are proud to team up with numerous business and community partners, schools and other charitable organizations to enhance the quality of life in the surrounding communities through various fundraisers. Get more information on the Amerks Reading Power Play Program and more community programs below. Request the always popular Moose or one of the players to make your community event extra special. READING POWER PLAY PROGRAM

The Rochester Americans and the Monroe County Library System are once again partnering to provide the “Reading Power Play”, which teams Amerks players with local public librarians in support of reading. The Reading Power Play involves players stopping by local libraries, reading to kids and giving a hockey demonstration. Each appearance also features a raffle and an autograph session by the visiting player and The Moose.

REQUEST THE MOOSE

If you wish to secure The Moose for your upcoming event, click here and complete the online request form. Please note that The Moose is available for community and fundraising events and will appear at no cost. An Amerks Public Relations representative will contact you prior to your event to confirm whether The Moose is available to appear or not.

HONORARY CAPTAIN OF THE GAME

The program offers the unique opportunity of a lifetime for one child to take the ice with the Amerks and stand alongside the starting lineup during the playing of the national anthem prior to puck-drop. Each participant will also have the chance to watch pre-game warm-ups from either the team bench or penalty box, enjoy the game with family from the comfort of a luxury suite and will be treated to a special meet and greet with Amerks Hall of Famer Jody Gage and select players following the game.

FUELING THE FRONT LINES

The Rochester Americans have partnered with T-Mobile for a community-wide initiative to distribute food and other supplies to local healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines against the COVID-19 pandemic.
