The Rochester Americans (20-16-2-1) carried a one-goal lead into the third period but were unable to hold it as the Charlotte Checkers (22-15-2-2) stormed back with a three-goal third period to escape with a 5-3 win Saturday at The Blue Cross Arena.

The Rochester Americans (20-15-2-1) close out the month of January tonight with a rematch against the Charlotte Checkers (21-15-2-2) at The Blue Cross Arena. 

The Amerks have been committed to playing a more sound defensive game and its been noticeable since their two-game sweep of the Checker back in December.

The Rochester Americans (20-14-2-1) fell behind by a pair of goals in the first period before scoring three straight unanswered to come away with a 3-2 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (19-15-2-3) Wednesday at The Blue Cross Arena.

The Rochester Americans come into tonight looking to halt a four-game slide as they take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the first time this season.

This week’s High School Game of the Week features the Victor Blue Devils (10-2-0) facing off with the Greece Storm (7-7-0) tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Lakeshore Hockey Arena.
