AMERKS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES

The Rochester Americans announced a pair of roster moves as the Buffalo Sabres recalled defenseman Jeremy Davies and loaned forward Riley Sheahan to the Amerks.

Davies his first recall of the 2022-23 campaign after starting the season with the Amerks. In seven games, he has registered 15 shots, which is tied for third among all Rochester skaters.

Has recorded 10 goals and 58 assists for 68 points in 132 career AHL games between Rochester, Milwaukee and Chicago. Also has tallied three assists in 22 games with the Nashville Predators (NHL).

In addition, Sheahan has cleared waivers and has been loaned to the Amerks, the Buffalo Sabres announced Monday.

Sheahan re-joined the Sabres on August 10, 2022 but has not appeared in a game this season as he began the campaign on the IR. Posted 13 points (4+9) in 53 games during his first stint with Buffalo in 2020-21.

Has amassed 194 points on 74 goals and 120 assists in 635 NHL games between Buffalo, Detroit, Edmonton, Florida, Pittsburgh and Seattle. Also has tallied 58 points (26+32) in 114 games with Grand Rapids and Charlotte at the AHL level, winning the Calder Cup with the Griffins in 2013.
