HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER

Join us for our Hockey Fights Cancer game, presented by Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club on Friday, November 18, 2022.

One of seven specialty jersey nights — and the first of the season! — the Amerks will wear specialty lavender Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys, which are up for auction via DASH NOW! More jerseys will be added later in the week, dependent on roster moves, and bidding ends at 10pm on Friday night. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club.

The night is part of a league-wide campaign spearheaded by the NHL, NHLPA, and the AHL designed to unite the hockey community in support of people affected by cancer. The Amerks are one of 17 AHL clubs supporting the initiative this season.

AT THE GAME

Fans are encouraged to fill out "I FIGHT FOR" placards at the game or before (you can download the placard here if you won't be in attendance) to show your personal support of someone affected by cancer.

There are a few ways that Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club will be recognized thorughout the night:

Ceremonial puck drop: a Cancer Support Community member will be honored by performing the ceremonial puck drop. Please be in your seats by 7pm so you don't miss it.
Cancer Support Community Scrapbook: the scrapbook will be shown on the videoboard to highlight the various services and support groups which Cancer Support Community has to offer.
Testimonials and photos from members: throughout the game, various indidivudals who have been affected by cancer and have turned to Cancer Support Community for assistance will be highlight on the videoboard.
Donating to Mustaches for Cancer, which is highlight below.
You can visit their table: employees and volunteers from the Cancer Support Community will be on-site to talk about the various services which they provide.

TICKET DONATION

Fans can also pledge their support by choosing from one of three ticket packages to help provide tickets to families affected by cancer for the game on November 18. Packages can be purchased up until Monday, November 14 with all tickets being donated back to Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club. MUSTACHES FOR CANCER

As additional support for the Cancer Support Community Rochester at Gilda's Club, members of the Amerks are growing mustaches all month long! As part of Mustaches for Cancer, we're asking fans to donate for their favorite 'stache: both at the games and online.

Throughout the month of November, there will be jars with various players mustaches, and we want YOU to donate cash to whichever is your favorite. The jars will be located outside section 117 by the membership services booth.
