THREE INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR 2022-23 SEASON

The Rochester Americans and Rochester Knighthawks are hiring three interns for the 2022-23 season: a Business Development intern, a Marketing and Creative Services Intern, and a Public & Community Relations Intern.

The Business Development intern will assist in daily operations of the business development department including, but not limited to:

  • Distribute marketing collateral throughout various target markets
  • Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets
  • Assist with ticket distribution and manifests
  • Coordinate in-arena marketing
  • Set-up Riverside VIP Club and Suite Level on game days
  • Prepare and assist with any on and off site events
  • Help distribute pre and/or post game giveaways

The Marketing and Creative Services intern will assist in marketing of the Amerks and Knighthawks through social, web, and other avenues including, but not limited to:

  • Develop ideas, strategy, and execution for marketing campaigns
  • Create, edit, and use graphic materials for marketing, ticket sales, and sponsorship usage
  • Assist in video creation and editing
  • Identify local and national trends to aide in marketing campaigns and ideas
  • Assisting with department sales/development efforts based on each season
  • Providing a high level of customer service to any patron when needed

The Public & Community Relations intern will assist the public relations department including, but not limited to:

  • Writing articles and press releases in order to maximize content and promote the team in a positive manner
  • Setting up/staffing press box on game days and distributing statistical information
  • Provide assistance in facilitating player/coach interviews and handling other media requests
  • Aid in the development of team publications (media guide, yearbook, game notes, media kits)
  • Serve as the on-site PR representative during team practices as needed
  • Organize press clippings and photo archives
  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and fulfilling all appearance and donation requests under the direction of the Public Relations department
  • Work with local charities and businesses to send players, mascots, and staff to community events
  • Promote community events through press releases and media advisories, take photos and video at events, and publish post-event stories summarizing the team’s involvement at the appearance
