Erica Whyte

Erica Whyte enters her third season as the Team Reporter and In-Game Host of the Rochester Americans in 2018-19.

Whyte assists in the creation of all video and written content as team reporter in addition to serving as the in-game host for all 38 Amerks home games. Whyte also represents the franchise remotely during various community events.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Whyte joined the Amerks after spending the 2015-16 season in San Antonio, Texas, where she worked as a host for Spurs Sports and Entertainment's AHL and NBA teams, the San Antonio Rampage and San Antonio Spurs. During her time with SS&E, Whyte served as the in-game host for all Rampage and Spurs games, made community appearances and represented the franchise on major-market television in San Antonio.

Prior to making the move to San Antonio, Whyte worked as sideline basketball interviewer for the Pan Am Games in Toronto and a feature reporter for the Hamilton Bulldogs (OHL). She also spent two years as a TSN (ESPN Canada) broadcast intern and freelancer working on events, most notably the 2012 London Olympics, 2013 CFL Draft Day, 2013 TradeCentre and 2013 NCAA March Madness.

A 2014 graduate from the Ryerson School of Journalism in Toronto, Whyte currently resides in Rochester.
