The Rochester Americans Alumni Association will be continuing its community outreach effort in the coming weeks by participating in the Wolf Foundation Strikes For Abilities event and the Rochester Heart Walk.
Amerks Hall of Famers Geordie Robertson and Scott Metcalfe are participating in the Wolf Foundation Strikes For Abilities bowling party on Sunday, March 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Clover Lanes. The former Amerk stars are bowling to support health, wellness and recreational activities for people with disabilities at CDS Monarch. The event is open to sponsorships, teams, or individuals. More information is available at www.thewolffoundation.org.
Metcalfe will also be participating in the American Heart Association’s 2013 Rochester Heart Walk on Saturday, April 13. The three-mile fundraising walk to benefit the American Heart Association begins and ends at The Blue Cross Arena.
For the second year in a row, Metcalfe will be walking on behalf of fellow Amerks Hall of Famer Gates Orlando, who recently received a heart transplant.
