The Rochester Americans announced today that forward Shawn Szydlowski has been reassigned to the Amerks from the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL. 
Szydlowski, 21, has registered eight assists and 21 penalty minutes in 38 games with Rochester this season.  In six games with Gwinnett, he has recorded one goal and two assists.  He scored his first professional goal for the Gladiators on Feb. 18 against Kalamazoo.  A native of St. Clair Shores, Mich., Szydlowski appeared in two games last season with the Portland Pirates of the AHL after finishing his junior career with a 78-point (41+37) season for the OHL’s Erie Otters.  In four years with Erie, Szydlowski recorded 197 points (94+103) in 258 games.
