Steve Pignata enters his first season as the Hockey Technologies Assistant for the Rochester Americans.
Pignata, a native of Irondequoit, first joined the organization as a Hockey Operations intern for the 2008-09 season, primarily serving as a special assistant to the team’s coaching staff. For the next two seasons, Pignata’s role was elevated to Video Coach before returning for his second stint in the Amerks’ hockey operations department for the 2011-12 campaign under current head coach Ron Rolston.
Prior to joining the Amerks, Pignata attended St. John Fisher College in Rochester, earning a degree in Sports Management.
