Bryan Gardner begins his fourth season with the Rochester Americans in 2018-19 and third in his new role as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Gardner joined the Amerks for the 2016-17 season as assistant athletic trainer following a year as the assistant athletic trainer for the parent club, Buffalo Sabres, aiding in the treatment and rehabilitation of players. Prior to joining the Sabres, the Rochester native was the head strength and conditioning coach for both the Men's and Women's Division I hockey teams at the Rochester Institute of Technology, in addition to serving as an assistant athletic trainer for the other 21 athletic programs at RIT.
Gardner completed his master's in exercise science in 2013 from SUNY Cortland, where he also worked as the athletic training graduate assistant for two seasons. He graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in athletic training in 2010.
He currently resides in Fairport with his wife, Lisa.
