SABRES TAKE MITTELSTADT WITH EIGHTH OVERALL SELECTION

The Buffalo Sabres selected forward Casey Mittelstadt (Green Bay - USHL) with the eighth overall pick of the 2017 NHL Draft.

Mittelstadt (6’1”, 201 lbs., 11/22/1998) led the USHL with 1.25 points per game in 2016-17, posting 30 points (13+17) in 24 games for the Green Bay Gamblers. He also ranked second among Gamblers skaters in game-winning goals (4) and power-play assists (13) despite playing in fewer than half of the team’s games.
